NAAJA is looking for an experienced civil solicitor to manage the operations of its Civil and Family Law sections.
The successful application will have at least 5 years post-admission experience in civil law and a proven ability to oversee the operations of a legal practice.
The Managing Civil Solicitor provides leadership, support and supervision to the section's staff and also undertakes client casework. They are also required to monitor the effectiveness of the legal services provided to clients and communities by the section through preparation and analysis of statistical and management reports, staff and client feedback, observation, file review and other means.
The position is based in Darwin and requires management and supervision across the Darwin, Katherine and Nhulunbuy offices.
As this is a Senior Management position it is essential that the applicant is eligible to obtain a Northern Territory Unrestricted Practising Certificate.
Successful applicants will have a demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, history and culture.
