Community Legal Education

We provide legal information and education to the community to help improve Canberrans’ understanding of the law.

Information sessions

We run free legal information sessions across the ACT to educate the community on many different areas of law. Our sessions are designed to be interactive and meet the needs of different audiences.

Examples of information sessions we present include:

  • an introduction to the Australian legal system for newly arrived refugees, held with the Red Cross
  • presentations on consent and intimate image abuse, held with ACT Colleges
  • presentations on wills and Powers of Attorney, held with COTA ACT.

Community organisations and groups can contact us to request a presentation from our Community Legal Education team.
